Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Rev 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Rev 22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
The Book of the Revelation is the last book of the Bible. In the last chapter of this book, Jesus gives a firm warning to those who would corrupt its TRUTH, or tamper with its TRUSTWORTHINESS. Jesus concludes His statement with an “Amen.”
Then the author, John, concludes His writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God with an “Amen.” Both the Lord Jesus Christ and the Apostle John say “Amen” to verify not only the trustworthiness of the book of Revelation, but of the Bible itself. For the Bible is, indeed, the revelation of God to man, and it is completely trustworthy and absolute. The Bible is the God-breathed, inerrant, infallible, and preserved Word of God. It does not only contain the Word of God, it IS the Word of God and is our supreme authority in life and faith. AMEN!
Over the next several weeks Pastor Thompson will lead us in a study of those truths in the Word of God that are AMEN, or ABSOLUTE TRUTHS, regardless of what our culture may want to believe.
