Check In Procedures

We welcome you and your child to this ministry of our church. Our nursery is for infants and toddlers up to 2 years of age. We join with you in a vitally important task: the nurturing of your child's development.  Our goal is to provide your child with the physical care and spiritual training that will build within him the right concept about the church, God, and Jesus. Our prayer is for each child to grow up in a Christian home, and for each of us to exhibit understanding and cooperation as we work together for the good of your child.

We offer childcare for infants through two years of age in a secure facility staffed by caring, qualified nursery workers. All our childcare workers receive a background check before working in our Childcare department.

Children and parents are given matching badges that are checked when leaving the facilities.

When You Arrive At The Nursery
A Nursery leader will meet you at the door to receive your child, diaper bag and any other necessary items. Please note on the sign-in sheet any information that will help in caring for your child, such as feeding times, sleeping times, allergies and special needs.

Check-In
At the time of check-in, a Nursery leader will apply an adhesive nametag to your child's back with his or her name on it, and label the diaper bag. You will be given a pager that has an identifying number on it. The pager will vibrate, so please hold or wear the pager at all times. Please present the pager upon return to your child's classroom. We will verify that your security badge matches the number on your child's nametag and then we’ll release your child to you. A child will not be released to a parent without presentation of the pager and proper identification.

After you have completed the check-in process, simply wave a quick good-bye and leave for the worship service or your Bible Fellowship class. As you know, it is normal for little ones to cry when a parent leaves. This does not last long, and separation becomes easier over time. Our leaders will immediately create interest in a toy or activity and give assurance that you will return. If your child cries for an extended period of time, we will page you.

What To Bring

When packing a diaper bag for your child, please include the following items:
- two or three disposable diapers (no cloth diapers, please)
- a complete change of clothes
- bottle of milk, formula, juice or water (this is a good practice even for mothers who nurse)

Please label all personal items (including pacifiers and sippee cups) with your child's first and last name before arriving at your child's class. This helps us keep track of your child's items.

What We Provide
Simple snacks are provided for the children.  Food items consist of water and butter cookies.  If you child has an allergy, please inform the Nursery Care worker when you check-in your child.
