In the day and age in which we live, it is not easy for teenagers to stand for Christ. They are bombarded each and every day with Hollywood, worldly music, the internet, and peer pressure. They need the support and fellowship of other young people who have a real desire to serve Christ and honor Him with their lives. That’s why Student Life exists! Travis Phillips, Studentlife Director
The Student Life department consists of grades 6th – 12th grade. Student Life is an exciting fellowship of the teens of Grace Baptist Temple. Student Life exists to teach our young people that it is exciting to serve Christ and to encourage each other in their walk with God. Student Life has weekly, monthly, and yearly meetings and activities which offer our young people the opportunity for fellowship and support in their faith.
Studentlife Bible Class
Every Sunday morning at 10am, Bible lessons that deal with the issues of life are taught in a practical and applicable way. Students are taught life principles from the Bible that will help them navigate through life with a clear focus on God’s will for their lives.
Studentlife Fellowship
Several times each year our teens gather for activities. Other than our time on Sunday the Student Life Fellowships are the highlight of Student Ministries. We’ll go to a Rays game, Grand Prix Tampa, or just play games at Bro. Phillips’ house!

Studentlife Winter Retreat
Each February teens descend on Orlando, Florida for an action packed weekend of fun, fellowship, and leadership training. Teens visit one of the local theme parks all day Friday. That evening teens will enjoy a wonderful dinner and then gather for a time of worship and preaching. Saturday morning teens enjoy breakfast followed by games, leadership training sessions, and more preaching. For more information about the next Studentlife Winter Retreat, download the brochure. Teen Camp
Every summer our teens load up on the bus and head north for a week of sun, fun, and preaching. Every year our teens make life changing decisions for Christ.
